E-way bill requirement is dictatorial step of government – Umesh Patel

2 min read

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Former minister and MLA Umesh Patel has described the abolition of the exemption of e-way bill as a dictatorship of the BJP government. He said that a new circular has been issued on May 24, in which e-way bill has been made mandatory and this will start the inspector raj. It is clear in the circular that there will be the right to check the consignment and earlier checking used to be done at the border. Now if checking starts in consignment, then inspector raj will return and all the traders will be harassed by it. The second thing is that small traders who are grocer shop owners, who run a saree shop, someone who runs a shoe shop in the village will have a big problem. They are required to generate e-way bill every time. If e-way bill is not generated then the penalty is also very high. This circular will cause a lot of damage to Chhattisgarh business in the long run. The way people’s revenue is increasing, I demand from the government to withdraw the circular as soon as possible. This order is very harmful for Chhattisgarh.

Former minister and MLA Umesh Patel said that the Chhattisgarh government brought this circular in 2018, except for some 15 items, so that there is no need for e-way bill. If e-way bill has to be taken, then people will have to increase manpower, cost will have to be increased and the beneficiary who is going to buy the goods will have an impact on his pocket and there will be a lot of impact on business. The economy of Chhattisgarh will also go down somewhere. The government should talk to the traders and solve the problems of the traders and issue it after meaningful discussion.

Former minister and MLA Umesh Patel said that since the BJP government has been formed, the government is taking decisions against the common man along with trade and industry, Congress will oppose it at every level.
