Kawardha accident: BJP government not serious towards HC comment: Congress
2 min readRaipur(Team Newsbuddy): Bilaspur High Court has considered 19 deaths in Kawardha road accident as a public interest litigation. State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the High Court has also raised questions on the unbridled transport system and law and order in the state. It is the incompetence of the state government that the Hon’ble High Court has to take cognizance on its own and make strong remarks. During the hearing, the High Court has said, “Accidents are happening every day, no one is paying attention. There is heavy traffic on the National Highway, the roads are uprooted, no one is paying attention. Crime has increased in Bilaspur, traffic is in bad shape, environmental pollution is increasing. There is no one to control it.” After this harsh comment of the High Court, on the basis of morality, the Chief Minister who holds the Transport Department and Home Minister Vijay Sharma who are unable to handle the law and order of the state should immediately resign from their posts.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the police and transport staff of the state are busy only in collecting money by undertaking checking. On every kilometer of all the roads of the state, checking vans of traffic, RTO and police can be seen stopping vehicles on the roadside. Their only job is to extort money and collect illegal entry fee. Dozens of people are stuffed in goods vehicles and people of police, RTO and traffic department remain silent in exchange of a few rupees. Pandaria accident is the result of government’s corruption.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that Hon’ble High Court has raised questions on the law and order of Bilaspur but the situation is the same in the entire state. In five months, Chhattisgarh has become a stronghold of crime. Goons, criminals, robbers, thieves have become unbridled, rapes and murders have become common. No concrete steps are being taken by the government to stop these incidents. People of the ruling party have become advocates of criminals.
