Chief Justice Sinha inspects marking work of pending cases

Raipur, (Team Newsbuddy): Chief Justice of High Court Bilaspur, Ramesh Sinha today conducted a surprise inspection of the marking work of unjustified pending cases in writ, civil and criminal branch through video conferencing. On this occasion, he also discussed with the judicial and registry officers and employees and provided them guidance.

It is worth noting that during the summer vacation going on from 13 May to 7 June in Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur, physical verification of unjustified pending cases is being done as per the instructions of Chief Justice Sinha, so that the litigants, parties can avoid useless litigation. It is worth mentioning that as per the instructions of the Supreme Court, a system has been developed to mark the unjustified pending cases, so that the marked pending cases can be disposed of after hearing.

As per the instructions of the Chief Justice of High Court Bilaspur, the work of marking and listing the unjustified pending cases in writ criminal appeal, criminal revision, contempt cases and other cases is being done. Physical verification of cases is being done by judicial officers posted in District Court Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Chhattisgarh Judicial Academy and officers and employees posted in High Court. Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha today conducted a surprise inspection of this work going on for the last 15 days through video conferencing and also provided necessary guidance to the officers and employees engaged in this work by discussing with them. After scanning the resolved cases, physical verification is also being done. Chief Justice also gave necessary guidelines for this through video conferencing and resolved cases can be maintained for a long time through digital medium. Chief Justice had also conducted a surprise inspection of the work of physical verification of unjustified pending cases on 13th May.
