Review of pending judicial cases by Chief Justice

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): As per the instructions of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha, the work of marking and listing the unjustified pending cases in writ, criminal appeal, criminal revision, contempt cases and other cases is being done. Physical verification of the cases is being done by 40 judicial officers posted in District Court Bilaspur, Raipur and Durg and about 36 officers and employees posted in the High Court Establishment. On the 21st day of the said work today on Thursday, Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha conducted a surprise inspection of the above works through video conferencing. During this, the Chief Justice reviewed the progress of the renovation of the infrastructure of the High Court building going on in the High Court.

It is known that Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur is on summer vacation from 13th May to 7th June 2024, during this period, as per the instructions of Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha, physical verification of Infructuous Cases, physical verification of disposed cases through digital medium i.e. scanning and then physical verification, and renovation of the infrastructure of the High Court building are being done.

It is noteworthy that as per the instructions of the Supreme Court, a system has been developed to identify Infructuous Cases so that such above marked pending cases can be disposed of after hearing.
