Coordination with neighboring states of CG will give booster dose to anti-Naxal campaign
1 min readJagdalpur (Team Newsbuddy): With the formation of BJP government in Odisha and the return of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to power in Andhra Pradesh, the campaign against Naxalites is going to get a booster dose in Chhattisgarh. According to experts, coordination between the states will increase in the anti-Naxal campaign, which can give an effective lead in the campaign against Naxalites in the border areas.
The border of Naxal-affected Sukma district in Chhattisgarh is adjacent to Odisha province. In Bijapur and Sukma districts, the most powerful areas of Naxalites adjoining Andhra Pradesh, security force camps have been set up and operations have been started from there in the last five months. Chandrababu Naidu, the head of Telugu Desam Party, a constituent of NDA in Andhra Pradesh, is considered a strong opponent of Naxalism. Naxalites also attacked him near Tirupati.
A meeting of Naxal-affected states was held in Surajkund, Haryana in the year 2022. In this, a strategy was prepared against the Naxalites with mutual coordination. At that time, due to the absence of a BJP government in the state, the campaign against the Naxalites remained slow. Now that there is a double engine government in the state, the campaign against the Naxalites has intensified in the last five months.
