It is worth noting that the Delhi High Court on Friday put an interim stay on the lower court’s order granting bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to the now defunct Delhi Excise Policy. Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain passed the order after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) moved the High Court challenging the lower court’s order.
The court said it was reserving the matter for a detailed order on the prayer to stay the lower court’s order. It also said that a decision would be pronounced on it in two to three days. Meanwhile, the single judge directed that the execution of the lower court’s bail order would remain stayed. The final order will be passed after two to three days.
