Biggest challenge of journalism is reliability, accuracy: Minister Vijayvargiya

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The state level award distribution ceremony of the three-day Indian Journalism Festival organized by State Press Club M.P. in the Jal Auditorium was held under the chief hospitality of the state’s Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat. On this occasion, social workers Dr. Jitendra Matlani, Narendra Saluja were specially present on the stage. In the ceremony, many senior journalists of print, electronic and new media working in the political fields of cities like Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa Satna etc. were honored with state level awards by giving them shawls and trophies.

In his address, Minister Vijayvargiya said that although journalism has become easier today due to modern technology, but some challenges have also increased. There was a time when there used to be only print media, but now social media has also come along with electronic media. In such a situation, the challenges have increased further. Therefore, it is important to have credibility in journalism, so whatever the journalist writes should be truthful and unbiased.

Vijayvargiya further said that today’s journalists need to work harder and this is not possible without dedication. Indore city gave senior and great journalists like Sharad Joshi, Prabhash Joshi, Rajendra Mathur, Rahul Barpute, Ved Pratap Vaidik, Abhay Chhajlani, Manak Chandra Vajpayee who remained connected to this soil till the end. We should take inspiration from such journalists and bless our lives.

In his address, Minister Silawat said that journalists are very hardworking and they go to the bottom of any news and complete it.

Guests were welcomed by Navneet Shukla, Manohar Limbodia, Sonali Yadav, Sudesh Gupta, Sanjeev Srivastava, Pushkar Soni of State Press Club. Aakash Chouksey, Sheetal Rai, Praveen Kumar Khariwal, Kirti Rana, Banshilal Matlani presented the mementos to the guests. The program was conducted by Alok Vajpayee. Praveen Kumar Khariwal expressed his gratitude. Journalists and journalism students from different states were present in large numbers in the program.
