1 min readNew Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader K. Kavitha has suffered a major setback in the case of corruption and money laundering related to the alleged liquor policy scam. The Delhi High Court has rejected her bail plea.
Justice Swarnakanta Sharma had reserved her order on both the bail applications of Kavitha on May 28. According to the information, she pronounced her verdict on Monday afternoon.
Kavitha had challenged the trial court’s May 6 order, in which the bail plea was rejected in the case registered by the CBI regarding corruption and the ED case in money laundering.
Kavitha’s lawyer said in the court that she is the only woman among the 50 accused in the case, so urged the court to consider granting her bail.
