NEET-UG exam will be held again or not!

1 min read

New Delhi(Team Newsbuddy): The Supreme Court, while hearing the petitions filed on the NEET-UG paper leak case, has said that the paper must have been leaked, but some facts will be needed to confirm this, such as whether the disturbance happened on a large scale or was limited to a few places.

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud’s bench said on Tuesday (July 8, 2024) while hearing the petitions, “In a situation where the sanctity of the examination has been violated and it has affected the entire process, it is not possible to separate the people who took advantage of it from the rest of the students and remove them. In such a situation, a re-examination can be ordered. But if the disturbance in the examination process is limited to certain areas and examination centers, then those who took advantage of it can be identified. In such a situation, it may not be appropriate to order a re-examination for 23 lakh students.” The Supreme Court was hearing petitions seeking re-conduct of the NEET-UG exam.

The Education Ministry on June 22 handed over the investigation into alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam to the CBI.
