Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Health Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, conducted an intensive inspection of the Bijapur District Hospital during his one-day visit. He visited various wards and interacted with patients and their families.
Arriving in Bijapur on the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Minister Jaiswal inquired about the health services available. He called for an investigation into the causes of the deaths of two female students and issued the necessary guidelines to prevent such incidents in the future. Jaiswal instructed doctors to provide better treatment and mandated malaria testing for all patients visiting the district hospital, including the parents of malaria-positive children.
During his visit, the minister met with all patients individually, inquiring about their treatment and issuing directives for the best possible care. Observing a shortage of ICU beds, he immediately approved 10 additional beds and two dialysis machines. He also announced that the government will soon sanction a new, fully-equipped building for the district hospital to improve healthcare facilities.
Jaiswal was accompanied by former minister Mahesh Gagda. Additional Chief Secretary of Health Manoj Kumar Pingua, Health Director Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Mission Director of the National Health Mission Jagdish Sonkar, Collector Anurag Pandey, CEO of Zila Panchayat Hemant Ramesh Nandanwar, and other public representatives were also present.
