Korba (Team Newsbuddy): Korba Lok Sabha constituency MP Jyotsna Charandas Mahant has expressed deep concern over the accident in the mine of SECL’s Kusmunda Mega Project. In this accident, she has expressed deep grief over the tragic death of SECL Kusmunda Assistant Manager (Mining) Jitendra Nagarkar. The MP said that due to rain, 6 officers and employees of SECL were trapped in the mine, who were later immediately evacuated by sending a relief team. The MP has alleged that SECL is only and only engaged in increasing production. The management is constantly ignoring the safety rules. Even before this, many accidents have happened in the mine due to ignorance of safety rules. The MP said that the management focuses on increasing production but they have no time to look at the plight of SECL employees and residential complex as well as land-displaced people and rehabilitation villages. The MP also said that while on one hand the villagers keep expressing their views against the management, the SECL officials do not consider it appropriate to listen to them or even hold talks.
