Steel factories on closure due to government stubbornness, employment crisis arises

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that due to the stubbornness of the state government, more than 650 steel manufacturing companies in the state have come to a standstill. Industrialists are constantly demanding the state government to withdraw the increase in electricity rates, their demand is justified. The increase in electricity rates has increased the cost of production, the prices of steel, cement and other materials have increased, the direct loss of which is being borne by the general public. The increase in electricity rates has spoiled the budget of 44 lakh domestic consumers. Small and medium industries, brick manufacturers, fabrication work, cupboards, beds, steel utensils, plastic furniture and buckets, mugs, jars, talpatri, masala industry, small cottage industries, and other types of people engaged in construction work have been affected. The state government should come out of the mindset of benefiting the private electricity producing companies and understand the problems of the common people and immediately withdraw the increase in electricity rates.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the increase in electricity rates by the state government is beyond comprehension. The coal, water and main power used in electricity production belong to the state and the people of the state are forced to buy electricity at expensive rates. Due to expensive electricity, the closure of the steel factory will create a serious employment crisis. Anyway, this government has proved unsuccessful in providing employment to the people so far, inflation is hitting everywhere.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that during the Congress rule, more than 44 lakh domestic consumers of the state used to get electricity at cheap rates and in that too, they got the additional benefit of the electricity bill half scheme. In 5 years, every family has saved 40 to 50 thousand rupees. About 23 hours of electricity was supplied in the state. Nearly 5 lakh farmers were supplied free electricity for irrigation, BPL consumers got free electricity, factories were also supplied electricity at concessional rates. After the BJP government came to power, power cuts have become a common affair. Electricity does not come but people are getting arbitrary electricity bills.
