MLA Yadav arrest: Leader of Opposition calls meeting of Legislature Party
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): In the Balodabazar arson case, the police arrested Congress MLA Devendra Yadav on the evening of August 17. In a hurriedly called press conference on Sunday afternoon, former CM Bhupesh Baghel, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant and State Congress President Deepak Baij have announced to wage a fight from the road to the House against the arrest of Devendra. Former CM Bhupesh has said that there is a preparation to strongly oppose this action at every level. Congress leaders alleged that the conspiracy to arrest MLA Devendra was hatched by the top officials of the government including the CM and Deputy CM. Balodabazar Police has taken this action after taking continuous instructions from these people.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant has called a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party to decide the strategy of protest at the legislative level. The Congress Legislature Party will meet on August 20. This meeting will be held at the official residence of Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas in Raipur at 10:30 am. Dr. Mahant has asked all the Congress MLAs to be compulsorily present in the meeting. He informed that the meeting of the Chhattisgarh Congress Legislature Party has been called at the Leader of Opposition office in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on August 20 at 10:30 am. In this, along with remembrance and tribute on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Late Rajiv Gandhi, the arrest of Bhilai MLA Devendra and various issues of the state will be discussed.
