Four people of same family including an infant murdered

Balodabazar (Team Newsbuddy). Four people of the same family were brutally murdered on Thursday evening on suspicion of witchcraft. The case is from Kasdol development block of Balodabazar district. The deceased include two sisters, a brother and a child.

The accused killed 45-year-old brother Chetram Kewat, Yashoda Bai, Jamuna and her 11-month-old child. Kasdol police have detained three suspects Ramnath Patle and his sons Deepak and Dil Kumar. All the deceased are neighbors of the family.

According to the information, Ramnath’s daughter in village Chharched has been ill for a month. In this case, the Kewat family was accused of practicing witchcraft. Due to this, the suspects committed the heinous murder. Officials said that the three accused entered Chaitram’s house and attacked him with sharp weapons and hammer. He said that Chaitram’s mother was not at home during the attack, she had gone somewhere with her other son.

The police is interrogating the accused as well as the local people.

Superintendent of Police Vijay Agarwal also arrived with the police team. Police has arrested three suspects in this case. The forensic team has left from Balodabazar. After this, the post-mortem of the bodies will be done. Police force has also been deployed in the village to control the situation.

Balodabazar SP Vijay Agarwal said, the police have detained three suspects, who are from the same family. Further action will be taken after investigation.
