CG declares dry day on January 22

Raipur..The Chhattisgarh government has decided to observe a ‘dry day’ on January 22 on the occasion of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Meanwhile reactions of Raipurians have also started pouring on the occasion of religious festive day.


Well known Chartered Accountant Chetan Tarwani, who is also a social and religious activist said that the day will go down the history of people from all walks of life who are eatgerly awaiting to be part of it. Tarwani said that it is a fortune for Chhattisgarh to be the home of the maternal grandparents of Lord Ram, with Chandkhuri being considered their home.

He added that it’s our fortune that Chhattisgarh is the maternal birthplace of Lord Ram, and it is our fortune that the consecration of the Ram temple is going to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. There will be an atmosphere of enthusiasm across the state on that day. Like Diwali, lamps will be lit at home. He also lauded the effort of the Chhattisgarh government to declare January 22 as a dry day in the entire state.

Speaking to www. newsbuddy. co. in Raj Kumar Diver ( Businessman) appealed to people Chhattisgarh to light lamps and to see Lord Ram as a symbol of peace, prosperity, and humanity instead of considering him as a religious icon.

“Lord Shri Ram isn’t of any one community or religious faith. Instead, all Indians should be proud of being able to witness the inception of the Ram Mandir,” said Diver.
Meanwhile, Suraj Upadhya, social activists share the sentiment of those across the country that the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya would commemorate the life of Ram Lalla and add credence to people’s aspirations for the temple.
Speaking about Sanatan Dharma, Upadhya emphasised that it has a critical role to play in achieving global peace and prosperity and the resolution of worldwide conflicts.
