Need to develop a strong ecosystem in aviation sector: Adani

Mumbai ( Team Newsbuddy): India is a rapidly growing market for aviation sector companies, which they are constantly eyeing. In the coming times, India can emerge as a big player in the growth of the aviation industry. Aviation sector experts believe that according to the growth in this sector of India, 2,210 new aircraft will be needed in the next two decades.
India’s air traffic is also expected to grow rapidly during the next two decades. This will provide many employment opportunities and the country will need a large number of pilots and technicians. The air transport system has changed rapidly in the last ten years. According to the Official Airline Guide (OAG), in April 2024, India has become the third largest domestic airline market in the world with a capacity of 15.6 million seats, whereas till ten years ago it was the fifth largest domestic airline market in the world with a capacity of 8 million seats.
Recently, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met Eric Martel, CEO of Canadian aircraft manufacturing company Bombardier. Bombardier has established its reputation as an innovative and reliable company with its ‘Challenger’ and ‘Global’ aircraft across the world.
Gautam Adani said, “Given the boom in India’s aviation sector, transformative partnerships in airline service, MRO and defense sector have been discussed. We have come together to build a strong, self-reliant India.”
