1 min read

Durg (Team Newsbuddy): Books of Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation are being found in junk. News of scams worth crores of rupees from the Textbook Corporation comes every year. Everything from printing of books, distribution to teaching in schools is a mess, but the government is not able to find a concrete solution to this problem.

Chhattisgarh Parents Association state president Christopher Paul says that for the last ten years, they have been demanding that only SCERT textbooks should be made compulsory for all schools in the state from class 1 to 8, but the government has not issued any such strict order till date, so the books of Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation are found in the junk, because most of the private schools take the books of the Textbook Corporation, but teaching is being done from the books of private publishers, and the books of Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation are sold as junk, while CBSE has made NCERT textbooks compulsory for its schools from 9th to 12th from the academic year 2024-25. The board has strictly advised to use NCERT books for classes 1st to 8th.
