Drugs smuggling in Chhattisgarh busted, kingpin arrested from Delhi

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Raipur Police has achieved a major success under the Mukt Abhiyan being run against drugs. Police have arrested several smugglers while busting an interstate network of synthetic drugs. In this operation, raids were conducted from Himachal Pradesh to Delhi, in which a total of 7 accused including a main smuggler from Nigeria were arrested.
The kingpin of this drugs racket was Nigerian citizen Innocent Olochukwu, who was arrested from Uttam Nagar area of Delhi. In this operation, a total of 124 grams of MDMA (cocaine), 98 MDMA tablets, hashish, weapons, mobile phones and other objectionable materials were seized, the total value of which is estimated to be around Rs 25 lakh.
Under the direction of senior officers of Raipur Police, the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit (ACCU) and Tikrapara Police team took this action. Under this operation, Shubham Soni (alias Pablo Escobar), Abhishek Sahu and Sonu Agarwal were first arrested in Tikrapara area on 23 September 2024. 98 pieces of MDMA tablets, 65 grams of MDMA (cocaine), four packets of hashish and cash worth Rs 16 lakh were recovered from them.
After this action, the police interrogated the arrested accused, which revealed information about other smugglers. On 25 September 2024, the police also arrested Aryan Thackeray, the main supplier of Raipur, after which the way to reach the smugglers hiding in Himachal Pradesh and Delhi was cleared.
During interrogation, Aryan Thackeray disclosed that he used to procure MDMA and other drugs from Amandeep Singh Chhabra, operator of Hotel Apple Pie, Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. Chhabra also disclosed that he used to get charas supplied by Ashok Yadav of Kasol, while MDMA and cocaine were supplied by Innocent Olochukwu, a Nigerian origin smuggler from Uttam Nagar, Delhi
