Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Chhattisgarh state is going to be the proud host of the 27th All India Forest Sports Competition 2024. This prestigious sports competition will be organized in Raipur from 16 to 20 October 2024 under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. This event is an important occasion for Chhattisgarh, which will showcase the sports talent of the state and the excellent efforts of the Forest Department.
In this sports festival, players of the Forest Department from all over the country will participate in various sports competitions. The main attraction of the competition will be the presence of Paris Olympics 2024 medalist and world-renowned shooter Manu Bhaker in the closing ceremony to be held on October 20, who will encourage the players.
The state’s preparations are going on in full swing under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap. Under the guidance of Principal Chief Forest Conservator and Forest Force Chief V. Srinivas Rao and Nodal Officer Shalini Raina, the players of the state are working hard under the supervision of professional coaches. High-level accommodation and nutritious food have been arranged for the players at the Forest Complex, Pandri, Raipur, so that they can maintain their fitness and give their best performance.
The Chhattisgarh team will have to face tough competition from players of various states and institutions in this competition, for which the team is fully motivated and full of confidence. Among the prominent players of Chhattisgarh, the name of international badminton player Sangeeta Rajgopalan is especially noteworthy, who has brought pride to the state by winning more than 100 gold medals. The basketball team of Chhattisgarh, which has played under the leadership of Arun Prasad, IFS and Jagdishan, IFS, has remained undefeated in the last nine tournaments.
