Hindi Pakhwada: Central Government offices celebrate with rajbhasha workshop in Raipur

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): The Rajiv Gandhi National Groundwater Training and Research Institute, Raipur, hosted a joint Hindi workshop as part of the Hindi Pakhwada celebrations. Seven central government offices participated, including Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Inter-State Wireless Police, MSTC, Integrated Pest Management Centre, and the Central Water Commission, with over 40 gazetted officers attending the event.

S. Subramaniam, Head of the Rajiv Gandhi National Groundwater Training and Research Institute, presided over the workshop. He emphasized the importance of Hindi in national development and shared that proficiency in Hindi aids career growth. He urged everyone to follow the Official Language Act diligently.
Nikesh Pandey, Secretary of Narakas, Raipur, and Rajbhasha Officer at the South East Central Railway, was the first speaker. He discussed Constitutional Articles 343 to 351, which pertain to Hindi as the official language, and explained that the Official Language Act of 1963 mandates its implementation in all central government offices.

The second speaker, Gopal Prasad, Assistant Director at the Rajiv Gandhi National Groundwater Training and Research Institute, spoke on report writing and official documentation in Hindi. He highlighted the importance of administrative language and vocabulary. Prasad also noted that Chhattisgarh, being in ‘Region A’ for language policy, has a special role in promoting Hindi, making such workshops essential for enhancing office capacity.

Arpit Tiwari, District Youth Officer at Nehru Yuva Kendra, introduced “Kanthasth 2.0,” a translation tool developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs for Hindi-English translation. He emphasized that these workshops foster cooperation and unity among various government offices, as officers from different regions come together, enhancing teamwork and coordination
