Students paid tribute to martyrs
Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Flowers that make the environment fragrant and captivate the mind are useful for decoration as well as reverence. To encourage this art, this year, as per tradition, an inter-school flower decoration competition was organized in Deshbandhu Higher Secondary School in memory of former student of the school, Kanan Shukla. In which students of many schools including Bharti, Shishu Niketan, Veer Chhatrapati and Sindhi School also participated enthusiastically.
The students paid tribute to the martyrs and famous personalities through flower decoration, made models of Shri Ganesh and Mahadev, the golden jubilee of the school was also displayed.
In this competition at school level, in group A, Snigdha Mohapatra came first, Naina Kukreja second, Anushka Namdev third, Vaidehi Chawla first in group B, Poorvi Sahu second, Radhakrishnan third, Poorvi Yadav first in group C, Mouli Sanyal second, Priyanshu Dubey third, Heer Parwani first in group D, Alankrit Vishwakarma second, Manas Sahu third and in inter school competition, Chahak Sahu (Veer Chhatrapati School), Naina Kukreja (Deshbandhu School) second and Snigdha Mohapatra (Deshbandhu School) third were the winners. Consolation prizes were given to Karishma Parveen (Shishu Niketan), Medha Sahu (Chhatrapati) and Vaidehi Chawla (Deshbandhu). The judges of this competition were Neeraj Kothari, Ruchi Pugalia, Amit Janghel. Principal Shishir Das appreciated the art performance of the students and encouraged all the participants. The director of this competition was Honey Lalwani.
