Central offices in Raipur celebrate Rajbhasha Samman Diwas
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): Under the aegis of the Rajiv Gandhi National Groundwater Training and Research Institute (RGNGWTRI), Raipur, a joint Hindi workshop was organized. The event witnessed participation from seven central offices, including the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Inter-State Police Wireless, MSTC, Central Integrated Pest Management Center, and Central Water Commission. Over 55 gazetted officers participated in the program.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Presiding over the workshop, Shri Nidhish Verma, Regional Director of RGNGWTRI, highlighted the importance of the Hindi language as a symbol of national progress. He described the workshop as a “Mini India,” where officers from various regions unite through the medium of Rajbhasha (official language).
Atul Nikam, State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Chhattisgarh, attended as the distinguished guest. Sharing his experiences from a 35-year career across different states, he emphasized that Hindi serves as a unifying force across the country. He also noted that proficiency in Hindi can facilitate career promotions and urged everyone to adopt Hindi more in their daily lives.
The workshop featured two speakers: Yashwant Verma, Hindi Officer, Accountant General, Chhattisgarh, discussed how the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can enhance the quality of official work in Rajbhasha. He elaborated on tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, which can be effectively employed to promote Hindi usage. He emphasized that AI tools can ease challenges faced by officials who struggle with Hindi typing, facilitating better implementation of Rajbhasha in daily work.
Gopal Prasad, Assistant Director at RGNGWTRI, spoke about drafting administrative reports and annotations in Hindi. He stressed the importance of administrative language and terminology, especially in states like Chhattisgarh, where Hindi is widely used as the official language.
Arpit Tiwari, District Youth Officer from Nehru Yuva Kendra, added that workshops like these foster collaboration, coordination, and unity among various central offices, as officers come from diverse states and regions.
Alongside the Hindi workshop, the Rajbhasha Samman Diwas was also celebrated at the Rajiv Gandhi National Groundwater Training and Research Institute. The institute was awarded first place among 79 central offices under NARAKAS, Raipur, for outstanding work in promoting Rajbhasha Hindi.
