Mumbai (Team Newsbuddy): Reliance Foundation has selected 5 thousand undergraduate students from all over India for undergraduate scholarship. The list of selected students was released on the 92nd birth anniversary of Dhirubhai Ambani. Under the undergraduate scholarship of 2024-25, each student will get a grant of up to Rs 2 lakh. More than 1 lakh graduate students had applied for the scholarship. Of the students who have been selected, about 70 percent have a family income of less than Rs 2.50 lakh.

The scope of the scholarship is very wide, the students to receive the scholarship have been selected from 540 districts of 29 states. These 5 thousand students are associated with about 1300 educational institutions. Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra are the top states whose students will be given the highest number of scholarships. 173 students from Madhya Pradesh – Chhattisgarh have also been successful in getting scholarships.

Expressing happiness over receiving more than 1 lakh applications, a spokesperson of Reliance Foundation said, “The selected students are among the most meritorious students of the country. Through the prestigious Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, our goal is to help students reach their full potential. So that they can contribute to the development of India. “

In December 2022, on the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance Founder-Chairman Dhirubhai Ambani, Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani announced 50,000 scholarships over the next 10 years. Since then, scholarships are being given to 5,100 students every year. Reliance Foundation’s scholarship also holds the record of India’s largest private scholarship.
