Karnataka’s Kirthana is national champion of Senior Six Red Snooker for first time

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Kirthana Pandya of Karnataka won the national title of Six Red Snooker for the first time by winning 5 out of 6 matches after the Super Round Robin matches played in the Six Red Snooker competition for women being played at Madhya Pradesh Billiards Academy Nehru Stadium under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association. Second place was secured by Anupama Ramachandran of Tamil Nadu, third place by Arancha Sanchez of Maharashtra and fourth place by Ami Kamani of Madhya Pradesh.
The winner was decided under the Super Round Robin. 22-year-old young player Kirthana won the Senior category title for the first time by winning 5 out of 6 matches. Before this, she had won the titles of Sub Junior and Junior categories. Two years ago, she had won Gold in Junior Billiards and Junior Snooker in the competition held in Indore. Also won silver in women’s snooker championship.
Yesterday Kirthana won two matches easily. Today also in her first match she defeated MP’s Amee Kamini 3-1, Tamil Nadu’s Anupama Ramachandran 3-2 and Rajasthan’s Pooja Galondia 3-0.
Second place Anupama Ramachandran won 4 out of 6 matches and got +8 points in point format. Anupama defeated MP’s Ishika Shah 3-0 and MP’s Amee Kamini 3-0. But she had to face defeat from Maharashtra’s Arancha Sanchez. Arancha defeated Anupama 3-0.
Third place was secured by Maharashtra’s Arancha Sanchez by winning 4 out of 6 matches and getting 6 points in point format. Today, Arancha defeated Anupama Ramachandran of Tamil Nadu 3-1, Pooja Galondia of Rajasthan 3-0 and Ishika Shah 3-1.
The fourth place was secured by Amee Kamini of MP. She had won two matches yesterday. She defeated Arancha Sanchez 3-1 and Sumiti Dammani of West Bengal 3-0.
The fifth place was secured by Ishika Shah of MP, the sixth by Sumiti Dalmani, the seventh by Pooja Galondia and the eighth by Neena Parveen of Tamil Nadu. Neena Parveen withdrew after playing a few matches.
