Trump will reshape US Army, signs four executive orders
1 min readWashington (Team Newsbuddy): President Donald Trump signed several executive orders focused on reshaping the US Army. An order signed late on Monday bans diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the army.
Another order reinstated more than 8,000 service members who were dismissed for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. The White House said that the third executive order tasked officials with formulating a policy on transgender soldiers. According to media reports, this order does not immediately ban transgender service members.
The fourth order mandates the process of developing an ‘American Iron Dome’. It will be like the Israeli dome in the Middle East. These orders were issued when Trump’s nominee to lead the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, was sworn in as Defense Secretary . Hegseth has long been saying that he planned to implement major cultural changes in the army. More executive orders are coming, at moments after arriving at the Pentagon.
