RCF demands withdrawal of cases registered against folk singers

3 min read

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy). Revolutionary Cultural Forum ( RCF) has strongly condemned the filing of a case against famous folk singer Neha Singh Rathore in Hazratganj Kotwali (Lucknow) and demanded the withdrawal of the case registered under sedition/treason and other sections. Along with this, it has strongly demanded the withdrawal of disciplinary action and false case by Lucknow University against popular YouTuber and progressive intellectual Dr. Madri Kakoti (Medusa). In a statement issued today, RCF has said that in Uttar Pradesh, the laboratory of fascist Hindu Rashtra, fascist attacks on freedom of expression and the democratic right to dissent are not new. But how anti-women,mysogenic and intolerant the fascist Sangh Parivar, which pretends to be “Sanskari”, is reflected in the cruel action taken against famous bhojpuri folk singer Neha Singh Rathore and progressive intellectual and popular YouTuber Dr. Madri Kakoti (Medusa). Neha Singh Rathore’s singing in folk style in simple and striking words and her criticism of the far-right fascist anti-people RSS / BJP government on social media is very inconvenient to the ruling regime. Attempts have been made earlier also by RSS Manuvadi fascist forces and the saffron brigade to silence her, despite this, Neha, as a responsible and fearless citizen, continued to question the government on social media using her constitutional rights. It should be noted that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22nd April was highly condemnable and it reflects the all-round failure of the Manuvadi fascist Modi government.

Under public pressure, the Modi government has accepted the lapse in security, but has not taken accountability, otherwise action would have been taken against those responsible. If the question of accountability arises, then definitely the finger will be pointed at the Modi government and its Home Ministry. In such a situation, it is natural for questions to arise. Neha Singh Rathore is doing this in her own way, which every concerned citizen of the country should do. Similarly, Dr. Madri Kakoti has been continuously condemning the racial violence started in Manipur by the fascist Sangh Parivar on the basis of hatred and conspiracy of division. And she was exposing the majoritarian communal intentions of the Sangh BJP on social media. How could blind devotees/ Andhbhakts tolerate these two outspoken fearless female personalities.

BJP and its IT cell work overtime to label anyone who disagrees with the cruel anti-poor, working class and oppressed class policies of the BJP government as treason/sedition. Regarding the tragic incident of Pahalgam, Sanghi Manuwadi fascist forces have engaged in communal, war-mongering and Islamophobic conspiracy. And their aim is to further isolate the Muslim people under this pretext and make them victims of communal violence. There have been reports of threats and harassment of Kashmiri students and citizens from many states including Uttarakhand. The common people of India have to understand that during the 11 years of rule of the fascist Sangh/BJP, they have been working day and night in the service of their crony corrupt corporate houses like Adani and Ambani, due to which the country has faced the most poverty, unemployment, hunger, inflation and devastation in the last 75 years. But in order to eyewash the people of the country from getting angry due to their destructive policies, these Sanghi Manuwadi fascist forces suppress writers, artists, intellectuals, students and mass agitators by labelling them as traitors or terrorists and create an atmosphere of hatred against them among the people.

In such a stifling atmosphere, the Revolutionary Cultural Forum has appealed to all the progressive cultural organizations of the country to unite and launch a common cultural resistance campaign against the saffron fascist corporate forces to protect the freedom of expression and the right to dissent.
