Innovation Conclave ‘Avinya’ held at NIT Raipur

Raipur(TEAM NEWS BUDDY) .National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur’s Innovation Cell (I-Cell) organized ‘Avinya’, its annual flagship event on 9th February 2024. The one-day event was themed ‘Magic of Science : Unleash the Chamber of Secrets’ and consisted of multiple events including several talks by eminent speakers, Innovation Expo, and Start-up Pitching. It was organized under the supervision of Dr. Saurabh Gupta, Faculty Incharge, I-Cell.

The Chief Guest of the event was Ritesh Agrawal, CEO, Chhattisgarh infotech promotion Society(CHIPS) and Guest of Honour was Job Zachariah, CEO, UNICEF. Special Guests included Dr. A. B. Soni, Director(I/C), NIT Raipur, Dr. Samir Bajpai, Head, Career Development Cell (C.D.C.). The esteemed speakers for the talks consisted Ajay Kumar Agrawal, Director, Deutsche Bank Operations International (DBOI), Mr. Akshay Makar, Founder, Climatenza Solar, Akash Agrawal, Founder at Zoff Foods, Deepak Pareek, Co-founder, Iceberg Creations, Sameer Ranjan, Director(Data Science) at Catenate.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the beginning of a significant gathering. Following this auspicious start, esteemed guests were warmly welcomed. Dr. Sameer Bajpai elaborated on the essence of ‘Avinya’ and shed light on the various clubs operational within the institution. He emphasized their pivotal role in fostering holistic development among students. Dr. A. B. Soni, emphasizing the significance of innovation, highlighted its crucial role in bringing positive changes to society and addressing various issues for development and sustainability. Similarly, Job Zachariah discussed factors influencing the nation’s GDP, such as anemia and other determinants, advocating for the necessity and importance of startups and incubation hubs while encouraging students. Drawing inspiration from Thomas Edison, IAS Ritesh Agrawal motivated students to persistently strive for innovation, sharing insights on the government’s efforts to promote the startup culture. Dr. Saurabh Gupta concluded the inaugural ceremony of ‘Avinya’ by extending best wishes to the Innovation Cell for the successful organization of the event.
During the speaker session, Akash Agrawal addressed various startup-related concerns, highlighting that if one has good ideas, numerous investors will come forward for funding. He advised students to effectively present their ideas and emphasized the importance of hard work and self-awareness to initiate a startup journey. Participating in events like ‘Avinya’ ensures learning experiences, crucial for personal and professional growth. Concluding the session, Akash addressed students’ queries, sharing challenges faced and solutions implemented in starting his own startup venture.

Ajay Kumar Agrawal reiterated that success entails leading a content life and urged students to focus on self-improvement daily, without dwelling on competition. He emphasized enhancing problem-solving skills to effectively tackle any job-related challenges in the future.
In his insightful discourse, Mr. Deepak Pareek highlighted several key points for success. He emphasized the importance of pursuing one’s ideas with determination, cautioning individuals to be mindful of what they consume mentally. He advised against chasing perfection, suggesting instead to focus on progress and growth. He encouraged attendees to analyze their competition, stressing the significance of starting immediately and refining strategies along the way. He underscored the importance of continuous movement and adaptability, urging participants to pay attention to consumer patterns and marketing strategies.
