Arvind Kejriwal gets bail in cases registered for not appearing on ED summons.
1 min readNew Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal, who was not present for questioning before the ED despite eight summons being issued in the alleged liquor policy scam of Delhi, has got bail from the local court.
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted him bail after his appearance. Earlier on Friday, the court had rejected a petition of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In this petition, calling himself a public servant, he had demanded to stop the possible action of the Enforcement Directorate if he did not appear on eight summonses.
The magistrate granted bail to Kejriwal in both the complaints filed by the ED after he did not appear for questioning despite repeated summons.
According to report, the court has granted bail on a bail bond of Rs 15 thousand and a surety amount of Rs 1 lakh.
