Security forces kills 6 Naxalites, operation continues

Bijapur (Team Newsbuddy): An encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites in the district since Friday morning. In Gangalur area, the soldiers have killed 6 Naxalites. At the same time, many big Naxalites present in the forest have been surrounded by the soldiers. The encounter is still going on intermittently from both sides.
According to the information received, the soldiers had received information about the presence of top hardcore Naxalite commander Linga, Paparao and big leaders of Naxalites in the forest in Pidia area of Gangalur police station area. Big Naxalites of DKSZC, DVCM and ACM cadre are also present in this committee of Naxalites.
After the information, 1200 soldiers of STF, DRG, CRPF and Cobra Battalion from neighboring districts Dantewada, Sukma and Bijapur conducted a joint operation. Where six Naxalites were killed in a fierce encounter in the forest on Friday morning.
10 Naxalites were killed on 30 April
10 days before this, on 30 April, Bastar police had achieved a big success in the Narayanpur encounter. After a 9-hour long encounter between Naxalites and soldiers, the soldiers killed 10 Naxalites. The Naxalites killed included 3 women and 7 male Maoists. On 29 April, on the information of the presence of Naxalites, the soldiers had gone out for searching in the border area of Narayanpur and Kanker districts. After searching all night, on the morning of 30 April, DRG and STF soldiers encountered Naxalites in the forests of Tekameta in Abujhmad.
