The accused Anwar Dhebar, who is in jail, had filed an application for bail in the High Court through his advocate after the interim bail application was rejected by the lower court. Amid the summer vacation, his advocate requested an early hearing on the interim bail application, on which a single bench of Justice PP Sahu heard the case.
Anwar’s lawyer requested the court to grant him bail on the basis of his health. The lawyer also informed that the petitioner Anwar is suffering from kidney disease and is having difficulty urinating. During the hearing, the lawyer also argued that Anwar Dhebar is undergoing treatment, for which he needs to go to the hospital. He is not being provided guards in the jail, due to which he is not being treated.
EOW said – medical ground is an excuse
Additional Advocate General, while pleading on behalf of EOW, said that even when Anwar was arrested, he deliberately kept getting admitted to the hospital citing medical emergency.
