Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that in the Modi government, which promised to provide 2 crore jobs every year, more than 18 lakh industries have been closed in the last 7 years and 54 lakh people working there have become unemployed. The BJP government has failed to provide employment to the unemployed. Due to their policies, even those who have employment are deprived of employment. Due to no new recruitment in the organized and unorganized sector and government posts, the country is standing in a 45-year-old situation in terms of unemployment. More than 30 lakh government posts are lying vacant in the country. Government companies have been privatized, in which layoffs have taken place, new recruitments are not being done.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the data of the Annual Survey of Unorganized Industries ASUSE and the National Sample Survey Office NSSO revealed that there has been a decline of 9.3 percent in the manufacturing sector. In 2015-16, 3 crore 60 lakh people were working in the manufacturing sector, which decreased to 3 crore 6 lakh in 2022-23. There was a decline of 15 percent. The main reason for this is the mismanagement of the central government during demonetization, GST and the Kovid epidemic, due to which the unorganized sector has suffered heavy losses.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that after the BJP government came to power in Chhattisgarh, the process of regular recruitment to more than 48 thousand government posts, which was going on by the previous government, has been maliciously disrupted. There was a promise to regularize irregular employees in 100 days, but irregular employees are being laid off. The salary of daily wage earners has been stopped. People who make a living by running hand-carts are being evicted. Due to the inaction and negligence of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh, the industry and business have collapsed and employment opportunities in the private sector have also decreased.
