Congress government gave land lease to poor, BJP government is cancelling it:Thakur
2 min readRaipur(Team Newsbuddy): Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the previous Congress government had made the landless poor landowners by giving them government land and lease in urban body areas. The BJP government wants to snatch the rights of landowners from the poor by cancelling the circular giving land owner rights of permanent leases granted in urban body areas. By cancelling the leases given during the Congress government, the poor are going to be evicted from government land. As soon as the BJP government was formed, bulldozers were run on the shops and houses of the poor across the state, now by cancelling their leases, it is going to make them homeless.
Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that as soon as the BJP government was formed, the first thing that was done away with was the 30 percent discount in the registry, which helped the poor to buy land and build a house and fulfill their dream. And now the circulars issued by the Congress government for allotment have been cancelled. This is the anti-poor character of the government. This government does not want the poor to have their own land and house.
Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the Congress government had allotted government land to many social organizations, ST, SC, OBC and other societies, trusts to build hospitals, cowsheds, hostels and for the poor to build their own houses. Those who had leases earlier and their term had expired were renewed for 30 years. By cancelling the circulars, the BJP government has shown that it is doing injustice to these classes to benefit its few capitalist friends. Right now the BJP government has cancelled the circular issued for giving land ownership in urban body areas and in the coming days it will issue an order to cancel forest patta, community patta and patta given to poor people in villages. This is the anti-poor character of the government.
