NIT Raipur hosts international conference on “Power Control and Computing Technology”

Raipur.(TEAM NEWS BUDDY).The third international conference on “Power Control and Computing Technology” is being organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Raipur from 18 January 2024 to 20 January 2024. This conference is being organized in collaboration with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), Industry Applications Society, Student Wing NIT Raipur and IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section. The chief patron of this conference is Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao, Director of NIT Raipur. The guest of honor of the inauguration ceremony was M.K. Badapanda, Scientist and Head of RRCAT Indore, RF Power Supply Section, and the Chief Guest was P.K. Gupta, Member, Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission. During this, Dean (Research and Consultancy) Dr. Prabhat Diwan, Dean (Academic), Dr. Shrish Verma, HOD of Electrical Engineering Department and Dr. Anamika Yadav, Chairperson of the conference and other distinguished faculty members and students were present. The organizing secretary of this conference is Dr. Sachin Jain, Professor, Dr. Ibha Kole, Associate Professor, Dr. S. Patnaik, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering.

The program started with the lamp lighting ceremony. After this, Dr. Anamika Yadav inaugurated the meeting by welcoming all the attendees and highlighted the wonderful journey of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Institute and told about the work of the department at the international level. Shri Gupta highlighted the important topic of power control and utilization and emphasized on its paramount importance. He encouraged the students to actively participate in the discussion and foster such an environment. ,

Dr. Shreesh Verma announced the institute’s achievement of crossing 1000 research paper publications in the prestigious Scopus Indexed Journals.
