Election Commissioner Arun Goyal resigns

New Delhi. (Team Newsbuddy) : In a significant development, Election Commissioner Arun Goyal resigned from his post on Saturday ahead of the announcement of Lok Sabha elections. President Draupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Shri Goyal with immediate effect. The Ministry of Law and Justice has issued this information in a notification. With Goyal’s sudden resignation from the post, now only Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar is left in the three-member Election Commission. Even before Goyal’s resignation, one post of Election Commissioner was vacant in the Commission.
