Maliwal controversy is taking toll on Kejriwal, AAP gives clarification
2 min readNew Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): The case of assault on Swati Maliwal is taking a toll on Arvind Kejriwal’s entire election campaign. Wherever Arvind Kejriwal is going, he is being asked questions on the assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister’s residence. Due to this, Arvind Kejriwal’s political campaign is getting left behind, while the Swati Maliwal controversy is emerging with more speed. Kejriwal’s roaming around with Vibhav Kumar instead of taking any action against him is also causing new trouble for the Aam Aadmi Party. This has increased the problems of the Aam Aadmi Party right in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections.
When Arvind Kejriwal was trying to give a big political message by holding a press conference with SP leader Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, the Swati Maliwal controversy overshadowed the entire press conference. The Aam Aadmi Party leader was asked questions on not taking any action on the Swati Maliwal controversy till now. Arvind Kejriwal did not give any answer on this issue. However, Sanjay Singh, by calling Aam Aadmi Party a family, tried to tell once again that the Swati Maliwal controversy is an internal matter of his party and a solution will be found. But the way the Swati Maliwal controversy overshadowed the entire press conference, the message that Kejriwal wanted to give was left behind.
Kejriwal’s mistake is proving costly
Actually, after the Swati Maliwal controversy, Sanjay Singh had said in a press conference that Arvind Kejriwal has taken this matter very seriously. He will soon take strict action in this matter. When Arvind Kejriwal reached Lucknow for the press conference, Bibhav Kumar, the accused of violence against Swati, was seen with him. This drew the entire attention of the people towards him. People believe that taking along with him the person about whom such a serious controversy is going on can harm the party. For now, Arvind Kejriwal should keep a distance from taking Bibhav Kumar along.
