New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh, who is contesting as an independent from Karakat, from the party.

The BJP had given Pawan Singh a ticket from Asansol seat in West Bengal in the first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. However, he was surrounded for objectionable portrayal of Bengali women in his songs and then Pawan Singh announced not to contest the elections.

After this, the BJP gave ticket to SS Ahluwalia from Asansol seat.

After this, Pawan Singh filed nomination as an independent candidate from Karakat seat in Bihar. Upendra Kushwaha is the candidate here from the NDA.

Regarding the removal of Pawan Singh by Bihar BJP, it has been told, “In the Lok Sabha elections, you (Pawan Singh) are contesting against the authorized candidate of NDA. This work of yours is anti-party. Due to which the image of the party has been tarnished and you have done this against the party discipline.” The party has said that for this anti-party act, as per the order of the president, you are expelled from the party.
