72 Indian players to participate for first time in Olympics

New Delhi(Team Newsbuddy): The great sports event Paris Olympics 2024 is starting on 26 August. The eyes of the whole world are fixed on it. For the Paris Olympics, the Indian Sports Ministry has approved 117 players for the Paris Olympics. This time India is expected to reach double digits in medal count.

According to ESPN, about 72 athletes from India will make their Olympic debut in the Paris Olympics 2024 and are going to enter the Olympics for the first time. Those participating in the Olympics for the first time include two-time boxing champion Nikhat Zareen, junior world wrestling champions Antim Panghal and Ritika Hooda, Jyoti Yaraji and sensational javelin thrower Kishore Kumar Jena. India has medal hopes from Kishore Kumar Jena. 14-year-old Dhinidhi Desinghu will be the youngest Indian player to participate in the Paris Olympics. She will compete in the 200 meter freestyle event of swimming. She is the second oldest player from India in the history of Olympics. The record of participating in the Olympics as the youngest Indian player is in the name of Aarti Saha. She participated in the year 1952 at the age of 11.
