Ashram students fall victim to food poisoning, admitted to hospital

Korba (Team Newsbuddy): About 20 girl students studying in Nagoi Kanya Ashram located in village Katori of Podi Uparoda development block fell victim to food poisoning. After eating food in the hostel, their health suddenly deteriorated and they started vomiting and having diarrhea.

All the girl students have been immediately admitted to the sub health center in Kathgodha, where their treatment is going on. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Katghora SDOP reached the spot and took information about the incident.

According to the information, after the meal, suddenly the health of all these children deteriorated and they started vomiting and having diarrhea. After the incident, all the children have been admitted to the sub health center in Kathgodha through 108 ambulance service to provide immediate medical assistance.

In view of the seriousness of the matter, the administrative officials have assured necessary investigation and action, so that such incidents do not recur. This incident highlights the growing problem of bad mid-day meals in girls’ hostels. The authorities should investigate the matter as soon as possible and take action against the culprits
