Sanath Jayasuriya appointed head coach of Sri Lankan cricket team

Columbo (Team Newsbuddy) : Sanath Jayasuriya has been appointed head coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team. The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket took the decision to appoint Jayasuriya as the head coach.

Sri Lanka Cricket issued a statement on the social media platform X and said that Sanath Jayasuriya will remain in the post of head coach till March 31, 2026.

Sri Lanka Cricket said that this decision has been taken in view of the good performance of the team in India, England, New Zealand recently. Sanath Jayasuriya was in the interim head position during these tours of the team.
