If TDP does not get Speaker’s post, Indi alliance will support them: Sanjay Raut
2 min readMumbai (Team Newsbuddy): Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that the post of Lok Sabha Speaker should be given to a leader of the NDA alliance. He said that Chandrababu Naidu has sought the post of Lok Sabha Speaker and if he does not get this post, then we will ensure that the TDP candidate gets the support of the Indi alliance.
Sanjay Raut said that ‘The fight for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker is important. This time the situation is not like 2014 and 2019. The government is not stable. We have heard that Chandrababu Naidu has sought the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. If the NDA candidate does not get this post, then PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah can break TDP, JDU and LJP (Ram Vilas). If Chandrababu Naidu does not get this post, we will ensure that his candidate gets the support of the Indi alliance.’
It is noteworthy that media reports are saying that if the opposition alliance does not get the deputy speaker post, then they can declare their candidate for the Lok Sabha Speaker post. The post of deputy speaker was vacant during the 17th Lok Sabha. The first session of the Lok Sabha will begin on June 24 and the session will conclude on July 3. President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint session of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on June 27.
In the recently concluded general elections, the BJP won 240 seats and the party is 32 short of the majority figure of 272. In such a situation, TDP (16) and JDU (12) have emerged as kingmakers with seats. TDP had also staked claim to the Lok Sabha candidate post. Aam Aadmi Party and the opposition alliance also demanded that the post of Lok Sabha Speaker should be given to JDU or TDP.
