MoU between NIT Raipur , MNNIT Allahabad to promote incubation related activities

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur has always been committed to support innovation, entrepreneurship and startups. On the same lines, the institute has established a not-for-profit Technology Business Incubator Company named ‘NIT Raipur Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ (NITRRFIE) to support and mentor the startups under the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations (NIDHI) – Technology Business Incubator (TBI) program of Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNIT or NIT Allahabad) has also established a Not-for-profit Company governed by Section-8 of Companies Act 2013 in the name of ‘Innovation & Incubation Hub MNNIT Foundation (IIHMF)’ to promote Innovation, Entrepreneurship Development, Startup Incubation, Industry Collaboration and Networking.

NITRRFIE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIHMF on 09-August-2024 with the primary objective to support incubation related activities and technology driven startups by providing co-incubation, shared infrastructure resources and joint mentorship, thereby enriching the incubation process. Under the scope of this executed MoU, both the incubation centers have agreed to foster cooperation in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and incubation activities through exchange of information, knowledge, best practices, and by jointly organizing seminars, conferences, workshops and events for technology-driven start-ups/entrepreneurs on subjects of mutual interest.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Samir Bajpai, Board Director of NITRRFIE, and Dr. Anubhav Rawat, Board Director of IIHMF, in the presence of Dr. N. V. Ramana Rao, Director of NIT Raipur, and Dr. Animesh Kumar Ojha, Professor of MNNIT Allahabad, along with Dr. R.K. Tripathi, Dean (Planning & Development) of NIT Raipur, Dr. Anuj K. Shukla, Faculty In-Charge of the Incubation Cell at NIT Raipur and Interim CEO of NITRRFIE, and Mr. Pawan Kataria, Assistant Registrar at NIT Raipur and Interim Manager of NITRRFIE. The signing of this MoU reflects the commitment of both institutions to promote excellence in innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and industry collaboration. This strategic partnership will contribute to the growth and development of both the incubation centers, benefiting startups, incubates, students, faculty, and the industry at large.
