Creche facilities at Anganwadi centers for working women children
2 min readRaipur(TEAM NEWS BUDDY).Anganwadi cum crèche will be established in selected Anganwadi centers of Chhattisgarh for the convenience of working women. A target has been set to establish 1500 swing houses in Anganwadi centers of the state. While reviewing the work of Women and Child Development Department, Secretary of Women and Child Development Department, Shammi Abidi said that for the establishment of swing house, children should be identified by conducting a survey in the villages. Children of 6 months to 6 years of working women will be taken care of in the swing houses built in Anganwadi centres.
Women and Child Development Department Secretary Shammi Abidi said in the review meeting held at Indravati Bhawan today that all field level officers should visit Anganwadi centers regularly and ensure to avail the benefits of the facilities provided through these centres. He said that children with severe malnutrition should be identified and special attention should be paid to their nutritious diet. This should be monitored through the nutrition tracker portal only. The benefits of Chief Minister Child Reference Scheme should be extended to as many children as possible.
In the review meeting, Abidi said that under PM Janman Yojana, children of special backward tribes should be benefited from the services of Anganwadi by conducting door-to-door survey. Cleaning should be done in all the Anganwadi centers and painting work should be done where it is needed. Nutrition gardens should be prepared. Where nutrition gardens are ready, children should be given nutritious vegetables. Similarly, electrification work should be done in Anganwadi centers where electricity facility is not available.
In the meeting, other schemes like Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Chief Minister Child Reference Scheme, Child Help Line, Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, Chief Minister Bal Uday Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, Mission Shakti, Mahila Jagruti Shivir etc. were reviewed.
