Campaign ‘Jhanda Uncha Rahe Hamara’

Indore( Team Newsbuddy): Environment should be included in the priority list of the government. Every year 42 billion tons of carbon dioxide is produced in the country. To avoid this, we have to take many effective steps at the level of the government and society. Today, in the name of development, the environment is being harmed in an organized manner or rather it is being harmed. Every day 1100 to 1200 tons of garbage is being produced in the city and out of this 20 to 25 tons of garbage is burnt every day, which is also increasing air pollution. New diseases are emerging every day due to saving trees from being cut, stopping excessive exploitation of water, stopping the tendency of excessive use of pesticides in farming and the increasing use of vehicles day by day. Global warming has become a part of our life.

The above effective and factual thoughts were expressed by experts and knowledgeable speakers on the subject of environment on the topic ‘Environment and the role of citizens in the constitution’. Under the campaign ‘Jhanda Ooncha Rahe Hamara’, an interesting symposium on the Constitution of the country was organized in the Rajendra Mathur Auditorium of Indore Press Club on Wednesday evening in the partnership of the organization Seva Surabhi, Indore Police, Municipal Corporation, Indore Development Authority and District Administration.

Media can convey the truth and facts of the environment to everyone

Dr. Khushal Singh Purohit, editor of Paryavaran Digest and environment expert, said that we are fortunate that there is a column for the environment in the newspapers. And the media has always been in favor of the environment. The media has played a very important role. But today there are many challenges. Many news do not reach the media. Only the media can convey the truth and facts of the environment to everyone. A journalist is one who has the passion to do something for the society and it is the responsibility of the government to keep these Kalidas alive.

Government institutions have a big responsibility to protect the environment

Dr. Dilip Vaghela, who was associated with Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, said that both the beginning and end of life are from the environment. Many institutions of Indore like District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Smart City, IDA, RTO have the responsibility to work on the environment, but in the name of development, many organizations are damaging the environment. Therefore, it is our responsibility not to cut trees, not to burn garbage, use e-vehicles, reduce electricity consumption, keep water sources clean and safe. Every day 1100 to 1200 tons of garbage is produced in the city. This much garbage is not produced in the entire state. 20 to 25 tons of garbage is burnt every day, which affects air pollution and affects health.

We should not delay so much that we are unable to save humans

Environmental law expert and social activist Rahul Banerjee said that every year 42 billion tons of carbon dioxide is emitted and to avoid this we are exploiting the environment itself. It is written in the Constitution that Right to Live is the right of all but we have to understand, animals, trees, birds all come under this and humans like us are not thinking about anyone else other than ourselves. And the result of this is climate change, sudden deaths of humans, diseases at a young age etc. We should not delay so much that we are unable to save humans. Birds are getting harmed due to big towers. Many species have become extinct due to our negligence.

Technology and AI should be used properly for the environment

Sunil Vyas, who is associated with Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, said that currently the environment is a matter of concern. By cutting trees, excessive exploitation of water, use of chemical medicines in farming, use of vehicles, we are giving birth to new diseases every day and inviting death. We are making climate change a part of life. In this regard, technology and AI have to be used at the right place. Air filters, ATP, STP have also helped. People have to be made aware through digital education. Participation of youth is necessary to save the environment.
In the beginning, the coordinator of the discussion, ground water expert Sudhindra Mohan Sharma, while introducing the topic, said that getting a clean environment is the right of every citizen. The constitution is not just a set of letters, but an essential element affecting life. The tribal society is the only one in the country that has preserved the lifestyle of the ancestors. If the coming generation is to be saved, then there should be a clear law on the environment in the constitution. Environmentalist and Professor Dr. O.P. Joshi also highlighted the importance of environment during the discussion.

The guests were welcomed by Kamal Kalwani, Jayshree Sikka, Shreyansh, Hareram Vajpayee and other members from the organization Seva Surbhi. The guests started the discussion by lighting the lamp. A large number of representatives of many organizations related to the environment of the city were present in the program. It was conducted by advocate Anil Trivedi.
