JDU big blow to BJP, Nitish Kumar all set to turn back again?

1 min read

New Delhi(Team Newsbuddy): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU has given a blow to BJP. JDU has withdrawn support from the BJP government in the northeastern state of Manipur. BJP has 32 seats, much more than the majority in the 60-seat assembly, but JDU with 6 seats was also with it. But now Nitish Kumar’s party has decided to separate from the BJP government. This is like a shock for the BJP in Manipur, which has been in turmoil for the last two years, and is already facing pressure from the opposition regarding law and order. BJP has a government on its own with 32 seats in the state, while NPF has 5 seats and NPP has 7.

JDU unexpectedly got 6 seats in the assembly elections of Manipur. Congress has 5 seats here, while KPA has 2 MLAs. There is no threat to the BJP government due to JDU withdrawing support, but this decision will have far-reaching effects. Its meaning will be interpreted especially from Delhi to Patna. Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar around October this year. In such a situation, this decision of Nitish’s party is also being seen as a strategy to put pressure on BJP for seat sharing.
