BJP should clear its stand regarding liquor ban: Congress

Raipur(TEAM NEWS BUDDY ) Congress has raised questions on the government’s decision of not opening new liquor shops. State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that by announcing that liquor shops will not be expanded, the government is diverting attention from its own issue of complete prohibition. The question is not just about opening new shops, it is about how many shops are being closed. What is the action plan of the government to implement liquor ban in the state?
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the BJP people, who have been creating ruckus for five years regarding liquor ban, should tell when will the liquor ban happen? Every big and small leader of BJP went around among the public and talked loudly for prohibition of liquor. After coming into power, the tongues of both the government and the BJP have been sealed.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the previous Congress government had closed more than 100 liquor shops. Before the Congress government in 2018, Chhattisgarh stood first in the country in per capita alcohol consumption after Goa. In the last five years of the Congress government, Chhattisgarh had come to 18th position in the country in per capita alcohol consumption. During the Congress rule, many steps were taken to discourage the consumption of alcohol. BJP government should clear its stand on liquor ban.
